“Of everything I have seen, it is you I want to go on seeing.”
– PABLO NERUDA
Amy & Troy were married in front of their closest friends and family on a cool summer evening with just a kiss of autumn in the air. Their charming, bohemian wedding at The Maas Building in Kensington was filled to the rafters (literally!) with love, flowers, candles, music, and a whole lotta dancing shenanigans.
The day began with ominous weather reports yet there were only a few drops here and there and a cool breeze to remind us that we are heading towards summer’s twilight. Love conquers all… even meteorology. What was special about Amy and Troy’s wedding day was the relaxed and calm pace of the day. The time to savor each moment with friends and family members, the time to laugh about fun events from the days prior and be giddy about the moments to come, and the time to bask in the love…
Amy and Troy planned their wedding in mere weeks. With a July wedding, there could be vacations, venues booked, crazy weather but Amy and Troy took the time to focus on the important parts of the day and let love handle the rest… And so it did.
Amy and Troy, thank you so much for your amazing wedding day that you shared with us so we can capture these images for the two of you. With much love and gratitude to the two of you, and your friends and family, – Celia & Charles
The stunning rings designed by Amy’s brother, Johnny, were perfect for Amy and Troy.
Their plantable invitations from Botanical Paperworks were the best! Love the sustainable approach and keeping the love growing.Gorgeous bridal bouquet by Stems by Meredith.
The elegant and fitted Tadashi Shoji wedding dress with these gorgeous details were perfect for Amy.Just cherished the chance to capture this mother daughter moment with Amy and her mom.
Is there a more perfect Beatles tattoo to have on your wedding day? I think not. This “All you need is love” tattoo is AMAZE.Meanwhile, on the other side of town, this handsome devil was on a rooftop looking at the city in his awesome Suit Supply threads. Wedding crew on fleek, y’all! Off to the first look at Penn Treaty Park… Can you see these two giggling? And then the sun came out and was all, Yay! First look! Look at that beautiful wedding day braid by Janet Good. The Maas Building wedding decor was lovingly designed by a family friend, Doreen, who was the MVP for the night (among many — everyone is a wedding day MVP in my eyes). An emotional father daughter first look. Can you believe the sun comes out AGAIN during Amy’s first look? Loved this sweet moment between father and son when Troy put the boutonniere on his dad.The Maas Building wedding decor was stunning in its simplicity and organic feel.Gotta give these well-dressed guests some love, too.Amy and her dad walking down the aisle simply moved everyone to tears.A beautiful reading from the groom’s mother and an amazing song sung by the bride’s brother made this ceremony so family centered. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house during Amy and Troy’s vows… Family photo time! With super fun and close-knit family members on both sides, I had a wonderful time capturing family photos. Their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. with friends and family looking on… Marriage license signing! So grateful to capture these candid photos for Amy and Troy. It’s the little moments like these that are fun…And let’s not forget taking time out for a few group shots, too.
It wouldn’t be a wedding reception without a few toasts, right?
Party decor! The Maas Building interior did double duty as the ceremony and dance hall for Amy and Troy’s friends and family. And don’t you love these golden dinosaurs on this cake that the bride’s sister, Pastry Chef Cassie Sciortino, made for Amy & Troy? For the father daughter dance, Amy and her dad danced to “Fields of Gold” by Sting. (No lie, this song was in my head for a solid three days afterwards.) And for the mother son dance, Troy and his mom danced to “Oh Lovely Day” by Bill Withers. Because you can’t go wrong with Mr. Withers, right?Part-tay time!Moms on the dance floor — watch out!Love how the world falls away when these two are dancing… Congratulations again to the Mr. and Mrs.!
