“You only get married once, twice!” These words spoken by the bride’s sister during Alysea and Pary’s wedding reception made everyone in the room laugh and toast to the newly married (times two) couple with sheer joy. When two sets of family members live nearly 8,000 miles apart, creating wedding memories for both families can be quite the challenge that not many people would rise to meet. But if you met Alysea and Pary, you’d understand that, for them, it’s a non-negotiable — their two families would come together to create new memories and combine cultural traditions not once but twice.
Their classic Pennsylvania wedding with emerald, garnet, and ruby colors highlighted their timeless style ensuring their wedding images will be classic not only today but years from now. Pary’s emerald velvet bow tie and Alysea’s stunning Pronovias wedding dress with her heirloom jewelry — and her new wedding band from India — made this classic and cultural winter wedding one for the books (and blogs!). Alysea’s design talents was also evident in her invitations — and can we get an A-freakin’-men for her stunning shoes? Yes, please.
For Alysea and Pary, it was love at first karaoke (no, that’s not a typo — it was truly karaoke that brought this couple together). — their generosity of spirit and love is only matched by their sense of humor and playfulness with each other. Never a dull moment with these two and especially with their friends and family! Their toasts were the funniest toasts we’ve heard in a minute — hands down — and we’ve never seen people rush the dance floor that fast during Alysea and Pary’s invitation to join them after the first dance! Despite the cold winter temps, inside Stroudsmoor, it was truly warm both literally and figuratively!
Alysea and Pary, your (stateside) wedding day was truly authentic to who you both are: welcoming to all, kind-hearted with everyone you meet and know, hilarious and super fun with the best dance moves, and generous with your time and thoughtfulness. We are so grateful to you both for soldiering through chilly temps to create portraits for your wedding day and laughing with us when I made a Game of Thrones references. Charles and I are lucky to know you both and may we meet over a “citywide” in Philly (with temperatures above 50 degrees) for our next hangout! -Celia & Charles
